Abstract

An interview with Martin Scorsese, filmmaker and executive producer of The Saints is presented. He talks about his lifelong interest in exploring the human and divine, particularly the concept of sainthood. He discusses how earlier films by Pier Paolo Pasolini and Roberto Rossellini influenced him in portraying saints and spiritual themes provocatively.
