Abstract
The article explores the close relationship between jazz and film, highlighting three new albums that reinterpret movie themes through jazz music. Dave Stryker's album features a large ensemble and intricate arrangements of iconic movie melodies. Thomas Marriott's album, inspired by TV and movie songs, showcases his trumpet skills in unique interpretations. Peter Erskine's project in Vienna pays tribute to film composers Korngold and Steiner, blending classical music with jazz in a revelatory album.
