Abstract
The author suggests evidence that Tudor laureate John Skelton more likely used in his English translation the 1481 Venice edition of the Florentine eminence Poggio Bracciolini's Latin translation of the Greek universal historian Diodorus Siculus in 1449 rather than any of the other printed editions available. Topics include philosopher Cicero's epistolography translated by Skelton such as "Ad familiares" and "Garland" and William Caxton's reference to a "terminus ante quem" by Skelton.
