Abstract

The article from TIME Magazine discusses the conviction of two Eastern European gangsters hired by Iran to send a hitman to the Brooklyn home of Iranian dissident Masih Alinejad, a journalist and activist with a large following. The trial revealed details of Iran's assassination apparatus, including Google searches by an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps brigadier and WhatsApp messages with photos of the target's home. Iran agreed to pay $500,000 for the plot, which was its third attempt to kill Alinejad.
