Abstract

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has reportedly viewed photos of US military facilities in Guam from a new spy satellite launched by North Korea. The state's official media claims that Kim pledged to put more probes in the sky. However, the US, Japan, and South Korea have not confirmed the deployment or operational status of any satellite. While officials in Seoul believe a North Korean spy satellite would be rudimentary, it could potentially help Pyongyang refine its targeting as it develops new missiles. [Extracted from the article]
