Abstract
This article explores different perspectives on wealth from six eminent thinkers. Letitia Elizabeth Landon highlights the negative effects of the wealth gap on society, emphasizing the importance of universal reform. John Maynard Keynes argues that money is only valuable for what it can procure and that changes in the monetary unit have no significant consequences. Matthew Arnold criticizes those who prioritize wealth and materialism, referring to them as "Philistines." Benjamin Franklin emphasizes the value of time and the potential for money to generate more wealth. Ambrose of Milan questions the unjust claim of the rich to exclusive ownership of the earth, arguing that nature intended it to be shared by all. Lastly, Arthur Schopenhauer discusses the advantages of having enough wealth to live comfortably and independently. [Extracted from the article]
