Abstract
The article discusses the life and legacy of Pete Rose, baseball's all-time hits leader who passed away at the age of 83. Rose's career was marred by a betting scandal that led to his banishment from the game in 1989. Despite his accomplishments on the field, Rose's gambling activities prevented him from being inducted into the Hall of Fame, leaving a bittersweet legacy for a man who was once celebrated for his achievements in baseball.
