Abstract

"Eruption" is a novel by Michael Crichton that was completed posthumously by James Patterson. The book, set on the Big Island of Hawaii, is an epic thriller about an impending volcanic eruption and a government secret. Crichton's wife, Sherri, discovered the first pages of the book in 2010 and spent years searching for the rest of it. She eventually enlisted the help of Patterson to finish the novel. The collaboration resulted in a fast-paced and seamless story that combines Crichton's style with Patterson's storytelling skills. The book has garnered interest from Hollywood for a potential movie adaptation. [Extracted from the article]
