Abstract

A biography of illustrator Arthur William Brown is presented. He was born in Canada, on January 26, 1881, and trained at the Hamilton Art School and the Art Students League in New York, developing a career that spanned over five decades. He achieved prominence through his work for magazines such as The Saturday Evening Post, Collier's, Redbook, Cosmopolitan, and Ladies' Home Journal, collaborated with writers like O. Henry, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Booth Tarkington, and Sinclair Lewis,.
