Abstract
(Bloomberg) -- Slovak lawmakers voted to override a presidential veto on a government-proposed overhaul of whistleblower protections that sparked European Union concern.Legislators in Bratislava voted 77-16, with one abstention, to back the legislation on Friday. President Peter Pellegrini now has to sign it into law.The changes abolish the Whistleblower Protection Office, replacing it with a new institution and giving the ruling coalition power to appoint new leadership. The overhaul also allows a review of protections granted to whistleblowers.©2025 Bloomberg L.P.By Daniel HornakReported by Author [Extracted from the article]
