Abstract

George Miller, the mastermind behind the Mad Max franchise, is returning with a new film called Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. The film serves as a prequel to 2015's Mad Max: Fury Road and focuses on the character Furiosa, played by Anya Taylor-Joy. The movie explores 16 years of Furiosa's life, from her kidnapping as a child to her attempts to return to her homeland. Despite some initial criticism of the film's use of CGI, expectations are high after the success of Fury Road. Miller has also revealed that a third film, tentatively titled The Wasteland, is in the works and may feature Tom Hardy reprising his role as Max. Miller's decision to make Furiosa the hero of a Mad Max movie was not driven by ideology but by the practical need for characters to put inside the cars. Miller's career has spanned various genres, including children's films like Babe and Happy Feet. [Extracted from the article]
