Abstract

This article focuses on the acquisition of author and illustrator Ellen Raskin's literary estate by International Literary Properties (ILP), which includes two previously unpublished manuscripts, one being a sequel to her Newbery Award–winning mystery, *The Westing Game*. ILP, a global company managing literary estates, plans to develop Raskin’s works across various media, while her longtime literary agent, John Silbersack, is overseeing the completion of an unfinished manuscript titled *A Murder for Macaroni and Cheese*. The timing coincides with the approaching 50th anniversary of *The Westing Game* and the 100th anniversary of Raskin’s birth, marking a renewed effort to celebrate and extend her literary legacy.
