Abstract

Orlando Le Fleming, a renowned bassist and bandleader, discusses his musical journey and the instruments he has used throughout his career. Le Fleming grew up in a musical household, with his mother being a cellist and his father a classical composer. He started playing the piano, violin, and bass guitar at a young age before eventually taking up the double bass. Le Fleming has played in various jazz bands and orchestras and currently plays a ¾ German double bass. He also uses Moollon J Classic electric basses and Thomastik Spirocore strings for his instruments. Le Fleming's love for music and the beauty it brings to the world is evident in his work.
