Abstract
The article focuses on Canadian poet, novelist, literary critic and inventor Margaret Atwood. It notes on the negative views of people in the Canadian academic circles Atwood because of her role in a controversy in which she defended the right to due process for Steven Galloway, an author and teacher who faced serious allegations at the University of British Columbia in 2015 and was subsequently fired. It also examines Atwood's views on feminism based on her book "The Handmaid's Tale."
