Abstract
This article discusses the complicated legacy of music legend James Brown, as seen through the eyes of his daughters, Deanna and Yamma. The sisters reflect on their father's career and his history of domestic violence, which they witnessed as children. Despite his flaws, Brown was a barrier-breaking artist and a voice for social change. The article also highlights his personal struggles, brushes with the law, and his philanthropic efforts. Deanna and Yamma have forgiven their father and are now carrying on his legacy through the James Brown Family Foundation and the James Brown Academy of Musik Pupils. [Extracted from the article]
