Abstract
The article discusses the recent political upheaval in Bangladesh, where Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed was ousted by student-led protests. Muhammad Yunus has been appointed as the chief adviser to the interim government to lead the country towards fresh elections and implement a six-pronged reform process. The article highlights Yunus' global renown for pioneering poverty-reducing microcredit and his efforts to enact meaningful reforms in Bangladesh to prevent the return of autocracy.
