Abstract
The main objective of the article is to present the process of creating Rusia's dependence on the Mongols following the invasion of Batu Khan from 1236 to 1242 and characteristics of Horde yoke. The author presents selected examples of various forms of Rusia' dependence on the Tatars, starting from the khans' subordination of Rusian princes to the presentation of the tax system and administration introduced by the Mongols in various Rusian principalities.
