Abstract

This article evaluates the social media landscape surrounding men's health conditions in testicular cancer patients by analyzing posts on the Reddit subreddit r/testicularcancer. Using qualitative and sentiment analysis of 148 posts, the study identified key themes such as treatment options, side effects, personal cancer journeys, community advice, and emotional experiences. Although men's health issues like low libido, testicular discomfort, and ejaculatory dysfunction were mentioned, they appeared in a small proportion of posts, suggesting these topics may be underdiscussed despite their prevalence. The overall sentiment of posts was slightly positive, with no significant difference in tone between posts mentioning men's health issues and others.
