Abstract
The author analyzes three documentary films that revolve around couples in vérité experiments, including Sophie Calle and Greg Shephard's "Double-Blind," "The Mom Tapes" by Ilene Segalove and "A Married Couple:" by Allan King. Topics include a description of the story of "Double-Blind," a critique of Calle's motivations and execution in the film by disability activists and scholars, and comments on the dissonance between the prim and the more freewheeling sections of "The Mom Tapes."
