Abstract

The article focuses on research examining the relationships between Hofstede's cultural dimensions and happiness at both the country and individual levels. Conducted by researchers from Bursa Uludag University in Turkiye, the study found that countries with lower collectivism and power distance scores tend to have higher happiness levels, independent of income. Additionally, among Turkish and Dutch participants, various cultural dimensions were linked to life satisfaction and psychological well-being. The findings suggest that understanding cultural influences on happiness can inform policymakers and mental health professionals in developing culturally sensitive approaches to enhance well-being.
