Abstract

This article proposes an analysis of selected short stories from Alice Munro's Dance of Happy Shades (1968) and from Something I've Been Meaning to Tell You (1974), through which she exposes her vision about sexuality, gender, and identity. By connecting her life and work, it sheds light on a deeper analysis of the literary elements in these three short stories from a feminist perspective, highlighting how Munro's work connects gender, inequality, and social limitations.
