Abstract
The article focuses on the ongoing developments in the case of Scott Peterson, convicted in 2004 for the murder of his wife Laci Peterson and their unborn son, Conner. A new Peacock docuseries, *Face to Face with Scott Peterson*, features Peterson's first on-camera interviews since 2003, exploring his claims of innocence, his affair, and criticisms of the initial police investigation. The Los Angeles Innocence Project (L.A.I.P.) began reviewing the case in 2024, citing new evidence such as a suspicious van fire and witness accounts of Laci after Scott left for fishing. While some former investigators dispute claims of innocence, a judge recently limited DNA testing to duct tape found on Laci's body, which could influence the possibility of a new trial.
