Abstract
This article focuses on the Cyril Clemens Mark Twain Collection recently acquired by Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois. The collection, formerly held at Fontbonne University Library, includes over 400 books, artwork, papers, and rare first editions related to Samuel L. Clemens (Mark Twain), assembled by Clemens’s relative and Mark Twain scholar Cyril Clemens. Highlights include signed first editions, personal inscriptions from figures such as Eleanor Roosevelt and Helen Keller, and unique items like a Mark Twain patented scrapbook and multilingual editions of Twain’s works. Quincy University’s Brenner Library staff actively support scholarly access and preservation of the collection, which they view as a valuable resource for Mark Twain studies and regional literary heritage.
