Abstract

The author discusses the five stages of grief originally developed by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross which were used to describe the reaction to change. These stages are shock and denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. Also mentioned are the Kübler-Ross Change Curve and the implication of these stages for nursing career.
