Abstract
The article focuses on the SNCC Legacy Project’s creation of six free toolkits designed to support contemporary efforts against fascism by drawing lessons from the youth-led Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) of the 1960s. These toolkits include primary documents, narrative history, photos, and discussion questions on topics such as voting rights, women and gender, freedom teaching, art and culture, Black power, and organizing traditions. The materials have been utilized by educators featured in the Zinn Education Project, who report that the toolkits highlight lesser-known activists and grassroots organizing, inspiring students by showing how young people significantly influenced the civil rights movement.
