Abstract
Netscape Navigator, the iconic web browser, was created in 1993 by James H Clark as a form of revenge after feeling undervalued at his previous company, Silicon Graphics. The browser, developed by Marc Andreessen, revolutionized the internet by making it easier to use and attracting a large user base. Netscape's success led to the browser wars with Microsoft's Internet Explorer, ultimately resulting in Netscape's decline. However, Netscape's legacy lives on through its impact on the dotcom bubble and the creation of Firefox as an open-source browser. [Extracted from the article]
