Abstract
This article discusses six common leadership styles and how to determine which style to use in different situations. The author, Daniel Goleman, identifies these styles as coercive, authoritative, pacesetting, affiliative, democratic, and coaching. Each style has its own benefits and drawbacks, and the most effective leaders are able to adapt their style to fit the circumstances. Goleman emphasizes the importance of emotional intelligence and suggests that anyone can expand their range of leadership styles through practice and focusing on developing emotional intelligence competencies. The article concludes by stating that a leader's success depends on the productivity and effectiveness of their team. [Extracted from the article]
