Abstract
Male Infertility more specifically known as "Oligozoospermia" classified by World Health Organization (WHO) is defined as the sperm count below 15 million sperm per milliliter (ml) of semen[3].In this study, a total 90 eligible subjects between the age of 31 and 40 years, with a complaint of Ksheena Shukra (Oligozoospermia), were randomized to receive either Mashamadhusarpi yoga texted in Sushrta Samhita and Proven drug Ashwagandha Churnaas a control for a consecutive 90 days. The primary outcome measures were percentage changes in the PratyatmakaLakshanas (cardinal symptoms) of Ksheena Shukra/Alpa Retas, Seminal parameters including semen volume, sperm count, motility, morphology, semen liquification time and Sperm percentage/ml, and also in the Quality of the Sexual Health Questionnaire(CSFQ-M). A Statistically significant result was obtained by the combination of Aahariyadravya Masha taken with Madhu and Sarpi Before meals on seminal parameters specifically on semen volume(p=0.000), sperm count(p=0.001) and liquification time(0.000). Also, the total CSFQ-M scale showed a significant Improvement(0.002) before and after the treatment in the trial group. This indicates that the Study Group intervention offers a holistic benefit across multiple domains of sexual function. The nutritional, antioxidative, and rejuvanative properties of Masha, Madhu, and Ghee likely contribute to these improvements [23]. Thus, the study findings align with both classical Ayurvedic principles and modern scientific evidence, emphasizing the efficacy of Aahariyadravya as Rasayana therapies in enhancing semen parameters, sexual function, and overall vitality. The combination of Masha, Madhu, ghee, and milk provides a multi-faceted approach to reproductive health through nutritional support, antioxidant activity, and enhanced bioavailability. Ashwagandha is a proven Rasayana herb, the synergistic action of the study group components offers additional benefits, particularly in sperm morphology and motility, as observed in this study.
