Abstract
This article discusses the importance of managing organizational energy in order to successfully navigate and adapt to the changing business environment. It highlights four key steps in managing organizational energy: understanding the organization's change capacity, measuring and managing disruption, recognizing and rewarding success, and expanding change capacity. The article provides examples of companies, such as Virgin Australia and Chipotle, that have effectively managed their organizational energy to drive successful transformations. It emphasizes the need for leaders to prioritize and strategically sequence change initiatives, communicate effectively, and align rewards with individual motivations to foster engagement and commitment.
