Abstract
Switzerland's parliament has approved all recommendations for regulating big banks following the investigation into Credit Suisse's collapse. The proposals include limiting relief on capital and liquidity requirements, strengthening the financial regulator Finma, giving the Swiss National Bank power to require collateral from banks, and revisiting the purpose of regulating big banks. The government is now required to draft legislation based on these recommendations, in addition to other ongoing reforms to address the issues highlighted by the investigation.
