Abstract

The article focuses on the shift from operations-centered to project-driven organizations as the primary model for value creation in today’s rapidly changing business environment. It argues that projects, rather than ongoing operations, now drive enterprise-wide transformation, requiring leaders to redesign organizational culture, structure, governance, and leadership practices around a small number of strategic initiatives with fully dedicated, cross-functional teams. The project-driven organization emphasizes strategic fluidity, decentralized decision-making, and iterative execution supported by technology and real-time performance metrics to accelerate value delivery. Examples from companies like Haier, Bayer, and Repsol illustrate how this model breaks down silos, empowers teams, and aligns resources to meet the demands of constant innovation and change.
