Abstract

The article discusses the use of generative AI to improve scenario planning in organizations. Traditional approaches to scenario planning have limitations in identifying relevant trends and external forces, considering multiple scenarios, and providing direction for preparation. Generative AI, powered by large neural network models, can overcome these challenges and enhance an organization's capability to conduct robust contingency scenario planning. It can rapidly process vast sets of data, assist in scenario creation, facilitate narrative exploration, and generate strategies tailored to specific scenarios. However, it is important to note that generative AI should be used as a complement to human judgment in contingency planning. [Extracted from the article]
