Abstract
The article discusses how the growing number of communication satellites from companies like SpaceX and Amazon is interfering with the Vera C. Rubin Observatory's wide-field astronomical observations in Chile. It explains that these satellite streaks threaten studies of dark matter, supernovae, and Earth-threatening asteroids, as well as the long-term effectiveness of astronomical surveys.
