Abstract
The Biden administration's American Climate Corps has launched its first batch of job listings, offering over 2,000 positions across 36 states and territories. The program aims to recruit and train more than 20,000 young people in skills needed to address climate change, with the goal of placing them in clean energy trades or federal service. Job titles include Invasive Plant Manager, Botany Technician, and Fisheries Intern, and applicants can choose from focus areas such as reducing food waste or mitigating extreme heat. The program is a collaboration among several federal agencies and has faced criticism from Republican lawmakers. Environmental groups are advocating for its expansion. [Extracted from the article]
