Abstract

The article focuses on the challenges and opportunities of managing a multigenerational workforce—comprising Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z—amid rising digital fatigue. It highlights how each generation's distinct communication preferences and expectations, shaped by their formative experiences, can lead to misunderstandings if not thoughtfully addressed. Digital fatigue, characterized by cognitive overload and emotional drain from constant digital communication, complicates leadership by requiring systems that respect generational differences while fostering authentic, clear, and purposeful communication. The article concludes that embracing generational diversity through flexible communication strategies and mentorship can enhance organizational creativity, trust, and resilience.
