Abstract

The article focuses on the role of quality management professionals in improving job satisfaction and patient care within medical imaging and radiation therapy. It describes a systematic approach to addressing scheduling inefficiencies in an interventional radiology team, which involved analyzing patient flow and coordinating with related departments to balance workloads. Additionally, the article highlights the 2024–2025 Quality Management Practice Standards Subcommittee’s revisions to the ASRT Practice Standards, including relocating customer satisfaction criteria to apply across all modalities, emphasizing that it is a shared responsibility of the entire healthcare team. These efforts reflect the integration of quality management principles to enhance both staff experience and patient outcomes.
