Abstract

This article focuses on a systematic review and meta-analysis examining the effects of flexible work arrangements (FWAs) on work-life balance (WLB), work-family conflict (WFC), and organizational commitment (OC). Drawing on 38 studies from 19 countries with a total of 83,951 participants, the research found significant positive correlations between FWAs and both WLB and OC, while the relationship between FWAs and WFC was positive but not statistically significant. The study also identified economic development level as a moderator, with stronger positive effects of FWAs observed in developed countries. The findings suggest that organizations can enhance employee well-being and loyalty by adopting FWAs, though their impact on reducing work-family conflict varies depending on broader institutional contexts.
