Abstract
This article focuses on Maiv Flower Farm, an intergenerational farm founded by a Hmong refugee family in Wisconsin that transforms farming from a survival strategy into a source of belonging and community. The farm, named after the mother’s dream of land ownership, overcame structural barriers faced by refugee and immigrant farmers, such as limited access to land, capital, and agricultural programs. By integrating agritourism through U-pick flower and vegetable offerings and educational workshops, the farm creates sustainable income while fostering community engagement and honoring cultural heritage. Maiv Flower Farm exemplifies how small-scale, culturally rooted farming can build resilience and connection despite systemic challenges. [Extracted from the article]
