Abstract
This article discusses the potential disruption of the finance industry by big tech companies and the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in this transformation. The authors argue that AI has the potential to improve various aspects of banking, such as data gathering, validation, and forecasting. They also highlight the migration of AI talent from finance to big tech companies and the increasing diversification of these companies into banking and other regulated industries. While the authors acknowledge that the disruption of big finance is not imminent, they suggest that proactive leaders in the banking industry should embrace AI and cultural transformation to stay resilient in the face of potential challenges from big tech.
