Ooredoo Group has established Ooredoo Fiber Networks (OFN), a new entity to manage and expand its international submarine cable assets, aiming to strengthen connectivity between Europe and Asia. Additionally, GNX has launched a new Point of Presence at E& Carrier & Wholesale’s SmartHub in Fujairah, UAE, while Vodacom Mocambique and Bayobab Zambia have initiated a cross-border fiber interconnection to improve regional digital inclusion and resilience. The article also notes Altibox Carrier’s integration of the NO-UK subsea cable into Scotland’s AI Growth Zone data centers, enhancing low-latency connectivity between Norway and Scotland.
