Abstract
The article focuses on the diary of Myrtle Webb from 1924 to 1954, which provides a unique insight into life on the Canadian home front during World War II. Topics include diary reveals that Canada's Prince Edward Island became a haven for military aircrews during the war, with respect to the novel "Anne of Green Gables"; and Webb's home, Green Gables, became a popular spot for airmen to visit during their off-duty hours, and hosting Webb's contribution to the war effort.
