Abstract
The author discusses the collaboration between professional societies, health systems, and the public health community in protecting the integrity of vaccine policy in the U.S. Topics explored include the structural changes in the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the guidance on immunization provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the importance of maintaining public health access to vaccines.
