Abstract
The article focuses on recent advancements in mobile internet technologies and their applications across industries. Nokia is developing a modular 5G solution for railways under the EU-funded FP2-MORANE-2 project, enhancing automated train operations, passenger information, mission-critical communications, and predictive maintenance. T-Mobile has launched SuperMobile, a business plan featuring the first nationwide 5G network slice, built-in security, and satellite coverage via T-Satellite, aimed at improving connectivity and security for enterprises like Delta Air Lines and Axis Energy Services. Additionally, Ericsson, AT&T, and 1Finity demonstrated a successful open RAN call, showcasing increased interoperability and flexibility in network infrastructure. Qualcomm introduced the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 and W5 Gen 2 wearable platforms, the first to support Narrowband Non-Terrestrial Network (NB-NTN) satellite messaging for wearables, enhancing connectivity and location tracking in remote areas.
