Abstract

A 39-year-old woman presented with hair thinning and brittleness after giving birth, leading to the emergence of irregular nodules along her hair strands. The diagnosis was acquired trichorrhexis nodosa (TN), a condition that renders hair fragile and prone to breakage. The case study suggests a possible link between TN and pregnancy, expanding our understanding of this hair shaft disorder traditionally associated with chemical and physical factors. Treatment options are limited, highlighting the importance of a compassionate approach when dealing with patients facing hair shaft abnormalities. [Extracted from the article]
