Abstract
The article focuses on the importance of measuring leadership trust as a strategic organizational variable. Despite widespread agreement among senior executives that trust is foundational to outcomes like employee performance and customer loyalty, many organizations do not systematically measure it, often relying on indirect proxies or deeming it too subjective. The article outlines four key steps for effectively measuring trust: selecting appropriate measurement tools such as the Leadership Trust Index (LTI), monitoring trust levels alongside other business metrics, actively managing trust through objective assessments and targeted interventions, and benchmarking trust against industry peers. By treating trust as a measurable and manageable asset, organizations can enhance leadership effectiveness, employee engagement, and long-term resilience.
