Abstract

This article summarizes a special issue of the Journal of Education Human Resources focused on the intersection of school funding and human resources management. It highlights research on stakeholder preferences for school expenditures and teacher salaries, the economic impact of teacher salary spiking on pension systems, and the development of social capital through educator collaboration. Additional studies examine the roles of classified staff in implementing behavioral interventions and school mental health professionals' perceptions of leadership during the COVID-19 pandemic. The issue concludes with a discussion on sustainable funding for teacher residency programs as a strategy to address teacher staffing challenges.
