Abstract

The article argues that rainwater and HVAC condensate reuse should be treated as core building infrastructure rather than optional features, helping facilities reduce potable water dependence and improve operational resilience. Topics include non-potable water applications for buildings, the financial and environmental cost of condensate loss; and a case study of an all-electric hospital with stormwater management.
