Abstract
The article focuses on a study evaluating the adoption and continued use of artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled robo-advisors among middle-class individuals in India. Conducted through a quantitative survey of 437 respondents from four metropolitan cities, the research integrates the diffusion of innovation (DOI) theory and financial behavior theory to assess how various factors influence user adoption. Key findings indicate that trialability is the strongest predictor of psychological comfort, which significantly affects users' intentions to continue using these financial tools. The study suggests that financial technology providers should implement no-risk trials and enhance trust through explainable AI features to foster broader adoption and improve financial literacy among underserved demographics.
