Abstract
This article discusses the onboarding process for new employees in a hybrid workplace, based on research conducted by Microsoft. The research suggests that new hires benefit from spending a few days in person during their first 90 days, as it helps build relationships and improve communication. However, being in the office most of the time does not provide additional value for short-term or long-term onboarding outcomes. The article also highlights the importance of tailoring the onboarding experience to different groups of new hires and providing resources such as clarity about role responsibilities and feedback. Overall, the article emphasizes the need for an intentional and flexible approach to onboarding in a hybrid work environment. [Extracted from the article]
