Abstract
The article examines employee retention by analyzing data from nearly 1 million workers across 1,500 firms in Singapore, revealing that effective talent retention depends on integrated systems rather than isolated policies. It highlights that companies with coherent practices aligning hiring, compensation, advancement, parity, and retention achieve significantly higher employee loyalty and earnings. Key findings include that competitive pay alone does not ensure long-term retention, advancement must be transparent and merit-based to be effective, and retaining experienced workers strengthens organizational stability and leadership development. The study emphasizes that successful retention cultures emerge from aligned employment systems rather than individual policies or large budgets.
